Freeze drying & vacuum concentration
Lyophilization, also called freeze drying, is by far the gentlest product drying method. It is based on the physical phenomenon of sublimation, the direct transition from the solid state to the vapour state without passing through the liquid state, where frozen products are dried under vacuum without thawing. This method offers a wide spectrum of potential applications, including the preservation of pharmaceutical product, food stuffs and other delicate samples.
Vacuum concentrators are used for the gentle drying of liquid products. Combining heat, vacuum and centrifugal force, this method is perfect for evaporation, drying, purification and especially fast concentration. Rotation vacuum concentrators have applications in biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, environmental research and food/agriculture.
LABEX works together with Martin Christ, a world leader in the development and manufacturer of freeze dryers, with over 75 years of experience.
